About me

My research focuses on the social psychological aspects of group processes and intergroup relations. I study the motivational underpinnings and implications of social identity processes, in particular for individuals who are devalued or stereotyped. One topic of ongoing research is gender (in)equality in academia.

Short bio

I received my Master’s degree (cum laude) in Social Psychology (2007) from VU University Amsterdam. I completed my PhD in Social and Organisational Psychology at Leiden University (2013). I am currently an assistant professor at the Department of Organization Sciences, VU University Amsterdam.
